Qatar's sixth-largest by market value, hired BNP Paribas, HSBC, the investment banking arm of Qatar National Bank (QNB) and Standard Chartered to run the roadshows, which will begin on today.CBQ BOOSTS ALTERNATIFBANK STAKE: Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) has acquired a further 3.4 percent stake in Turkey's Alternatifbank through a public tender offer, building on its majority holding buy earlier this year, Reuters has reported. Qatar's second-largest lender by assets said in July it had completed the purchase of a 70.84 percent stake in Alternatifbank, paying two-times book value as at June 30, 2013, and would tender for the 4.16 percent stake held by the public. Turkey's Anadolu Holding, from which CBQ acquired its majority holding, continues to own 25 percent of Alternatifbank.AL HILAL LAUNCHES $500M ISLAMIC BOND: Abu D儲存倉abi's Al Hilal Bank has launched its debut $500m five-year sukuk issue, with the projected pricing much tighter than the initial guidance, indicating healthy demand for the deal, Reuters has reported. Orders from investors had reached $2.75bn, leads said, prior to the conclusion of roadshows. The deal for Al Hilal, fully owned by state fund Abu Dhabi Investment Council, is being arranged by Citigroup, HSBC, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Standard Chartered, along with Al Hilal itself.OMAN'S FIRST ISLAMIC LENDER LAUNCHES SERVICES: Oman's Alizz Islamic Bank has announced the official launch of its services in the sultanate, Muscat Daily has reported. The bank's flagship branch in Muscat will provide personal and corporate products and services, segmented into deposit products, asset products, corporate banking and treasury.
